Japanese Inspired Purple Stamping Mani

As I said in the previous post, I will dedicate this post to my purple entry for MoYou London Rainbow Contest on Instagram.

Purple reminded me of Japanese patterns and it gave me a good excuse to do a Japanese inspired mani that I have been wanting to do for a long time.

For this mani, I used Suki 02, 05, 07 & Princess 12 plates and mainly used A-England for purple. For index finger, I first painted with Sleeping Palace then stamped the whole nail. Then I painted gold about 1/3 of it and stamped another pattern on about half of the gold part. Middle finger is a combination of simple stamping with decals on top. Ring finger is started with Sleeping Palace then I put 2 sets of straight vinyl stencils and stamped with Mundo de Uñas Gold. Pinkie and thumb is a simple gold stamping on Sleeping Palace with flower decals.

I'm super excited with the result. It has a perfect Japanese feel to it, and to no surprise, a lot of Japanese nail art enthusiasts came to leave a sweet comment on this entry. One thing I should have kept in mind is that I got too carried away with this design, that it had more gold than purple. The contest entry should be mainly the theme colour (purple), so I'm not sure if this is going to be a valid entry. It still doesn't change the fact that I love this mani so much. It was so heartbreaking to take this off to do the pink... I really wished MoYou set the purple the last theme!

前回の記事でお知らせしたとおり、今回の記事はMoYou Rainbowコンテストの土曜のテーマ「紫」のネイルをご紹介。まず出来上がりはこちら。

Polish used (names written below)

OPI Love Angel Music Baby
A-England Sleeping Palace
Ciate Talent Scout
Mundo de Uñas Gold

This is before mattifying. I didn't like that the shine hid the design on the middle finger,
so I ended up mattifying

I had to add a colour on the flower decals, because when mattified, they looked plain white flowers

I'm so loving the Suki plates. I really want them all
