Chevron x Fruits Mani Using Ya Qin An Plate

September 26th Update: I replaced the video at the end of this post with YouTube version.

 There are still so many plates that are sitting untried, and my first and only Ya Qin An plate, Y 004 is one of them. You can see my review post here. I decided to also use Ya Qin An stamping polishes as well.

 I started off with different colours for each nail (citrus, purple, turquoise, and coral). Then I stamped chevron pattern from BP-L006 using Ya Qin An #14 (pastel yellow) and #20 (pastel blue). Then I made stamping decal out of fruits images from Y 004 plate using Ya Qin An Chocolate, coloured in with KIKO Cupcake polishes my friend Chiro @nailofthisweek kindly sent me. I finished off with Glisten & Glow HK Girl topcoat, followed by Essie Matte About You.

 I always try my design on my right hand to see if I like the look before recording the process on my left hand, and I tried white base with taupe chevron stamp for all my right hand nails. It was all right but I didn't find it very appealing, so I decided to make it colourful for my left hand. Ahh much better! I think the colourful look goes well with the cute fruit stamps.

春の歌さんから送っていただいたプレート、まだまだ未使用なものがたくさんあります（レビューはこちら）。 今回はそのうちの１枚、Ya Qin AnシリーズのY 004プレートを使用してみました。出来上がりはこちら。

ベースは各爪に４色使用（シトラス、紫、ターコイス、コーラル）。BP-L006のシェブロン柄をYa Qin An #14（パステルイエロー）と#20（パステルブルー）でスタンプ。次に、Y 004プレートの果物柄をYa Qin An Chocolateでスタンプし、 Chiroさん @nailofthisweekがはるばるドイツから送ってくださったKIKO Cupcakeコレクションのポリッシュを何本か使って色付け。仕上げはまずGlisten & Glow HK Girlトップコート、その後Essie Matte About Youでマット化。

初めてKIKO Cupcakeを使用したのも同じくフルーツネイルでしたね（こちら）。このツブツブ感がフルーツを表すのに最適すぎる(ﾟ∀ﾟ) 次回は名前の通りカップケーキネイルでも使ってみたいです。

These KIKOs are textured, so I made sure I applied topcoat nice and thick so it doesn't feel bumpy

ちなみにいつも右手を仕上げてから左手に取り掛かるのですが、右手のベースはすべて白の上にトープ色のシェブロンにしたんです。まぁ悪くはないけど、パンチが足りないな・・・と思い、左手はカラフルにしてみました。Ya Qin Anのパステルブルーとパステルイエローも初めて使えて満足です。フルーツに使ったYa Qin An Chocolateはこれまで何度も使っていますが、この色使い勝手が良すぎる～。買い足し決定。

今回色付けに使ったKIKOはザリザリ系なので、ボコッとしないようになるべく薄く色付けした上でトップコートを厚く塗りました。違和感のない仕上がりになったのではないかと♪

Holographic Flower Mani for Luda's Birthday

 I was so thrilled to be invited by Galina @yagala to be part of birthday collage for Ludmila @lisionok2004. I only discovered Luda's account recently, but glad I did because she has so many beautiful manis and helpful tutorials. Adi @adibuki organised this and she, Galina @yagala, Elle @with2l, Cristina @crisalvarado17 and I @cassis_p decided to recreate one of Luda's manis.

 I chose to recreate this mani she did long time ago. It's a pretty floral mani but with a punk feel to it with random studs, and I really love it. Luda's work is freehand, but mine has to be a stamping (at least the flowers anyway).

 For this mani I started off with Color Club Harp On It and, and drew stripes diagonally using orange (KIKO Melon), copper (Kleancolor Coffee Addict), and red (Ciate boudoir) with a detail brush sent for review by Harunouta (aka Born Pretty Store. Item is shown here). For flowers, I made a stamping decal using MoYou London Pro XL 03 with Mundo de Uñas Cafe, and coloured in with red mixed with Dance Legend Steel Panther & orange. I topped with black, orange, and clear round studs and finished off with Glisten & Glow HK Girl topcoat.

 I'm so excited with this look. This colour combo is something I don't normally come up with, and I got to do a little bit of freehand also (yes, it's a big improvement for me!). Luda used white for base, but I changed it to silver holographic which is Color Club Harp On It. I couldn't resist it because it's such a perfect sunny season to wear holos. Wishing Luda a very happy birthday!

今回のネイルはいつもと趣向が違ったネイルです。インスタのLudmila @lisionok2004 が1/24に誕生日を迎えるにあたって、何人かで彼女のために誕生日コラージュをやろうということになりました。Ludaのアカウントは実は最近知ったのですが、Galina @yagala から声を掛けてもらったときは二つ返事で承諾しました。企画人でLudaの友達のAdi @adibuki、Galina @yagala、Elle @with2l、Cristina @crisalvarado17、そして私 @cassis_p の５人によるコラージュです。そうそうたるメンバーに混じったしがないスタンパー１人・・・（笑。

どういうコラージュにしようかね？という話になり、色々案は出ましたが最終的に「Ludaの過去ネイルを再現」という内容に落ち着きました。彼女は膨大な数のネイルを披露しているので、あれこれ目移りしながら選んだのがこちらのネイル。そして私の出来上がりはこちら。

ベースはColor Club Harp On It。春の歌さんから送っていただいた極細ブラシ（写真はこちら)を使ってオレンジ（KIKO Melon)、コッパー（Kleancolor Coffee Addict）、および赤（Ciate boudoir)の３色を対角線上に塗る。次に、MoYou London Pro XL 03の花をMundo de Uñas Cafeでスタンプしてdecal作成。色付けには同じ赤にDance Legend Steel Pantherを混ぜたものとオレンジを使用。黒、オレンジ、クリアの丸スタッズを乗せてGlisten & Glow HK Girlトップコートで仕上げ。

こちらがAdiが作ってくれた誕生日コラージュ。真ん中の人がバースデーガールのLuda。こんな素敵なアーティストさんたちに混じれたことに大興奮！

赤・コッパー・オレンジというのは私自身思いつかない組み合わせでちょっと新鮮でした。それから、お花をフィーチャーしつつ、ランダム感のあるスタッズがちょっとパンクな感じがあってカッコいいなぁと。Ludaのお花は手描きですが、私はもちろんスタンプ（笑。ちょっと大振りなお花が気に入っています。ストライプはやや曲線にしたのでテープを使わず手描きにしました。ちょっと雑な線ですがそれも味があっていいじゃない？（笑。オレンジのKIKOはChiroさんが送ってくださったものを初使用♪ 手持ちにオレンジが少ないのですが、これは蜜柑のような柔らかい色で使いやすいです。

I wish I had fancy studs and big hex glitter like Luda used. That would have been perfect! 

Ludaはベースに白を使っていますが、ちょっと考えてシルバーホロのHarp On Itにしました。夏の間は積極的にホロを塗っていきたいので。あまりのギラギラぶりにカメラ（iPad mini）が驚いて所どころ白くなってますがｗ

そんなわけでLudaの誕生日おめでとうネイルでした。おめでたいイベントに参加でき、素晴らしいアーティストさんたちと交流できて非常に楽しい時を過ごしました。Luda、お誕生日おめでとう！！

Green Damask Stamping Mani

Jan 16th Update: I replaced the video at the end of this post with YouTube version.

 This is my first mani in 2015. (The New Year's Sunrise mani was actually created last year). I started off with something simple yet classy.

 For this mani, I started off with Zoya Veruschka and stamped a damask pattern from MoYou London Fashionista 07 with Mundo de Uñas Black for middle and ring finger. Then I double stamped with a pattern from Gothic 11 with Mundo de Uñas Gold. For other fingers I stamped a different damask pattern from Fashionista 07 with KIKO 626 from Mirror collection that my friend Chiro @Nail of This Week kindly sent me. I first topcoated with Essence topcoat then decided to mattify with Essie Matte About You.

 That's it! Wow, it's simple, right? But I didn't think these gorgeous patterns needed some elaborate stamping. I always thought this matte green would match so well with those damask images and I'm so happy with the result. The problem was thought that this Zoya is quite a stainer. After three days of wear, my nails looked like mandarin skins! I got rid of some stains using baking soda and lemon juice but not completely. Grrr....

全指ともベースはZoya Veruschka。中指と薬指はMoYou London Fashionista 07のダマスク柄をMundo de Uñas Blackでスタンプ。その上にMoYou London Gothic 11のケルト文様のような柄をMundo de Uñas Goldでスタンプ。他の指にはFashionista 07の別のダマスク柄をKIKO Mirrorコレクション626でスタンプ。このKIKOは「Nail of This Week」のChiroさんが送ってくださったもの。仕上げにEssence Better than Gelnailsトップコートを塗り、やっぱりマットがいいかな？ということでEssie Matte About Youでフィニッシュ。使用ポリッシュはこちら。

これがマットにする前。トップコートする前はベースのZoyaと黒スタンプが渋いコントラストを成していたのですが、トップコートしたらのっぺりとしてしまい、う～んと思ってマットにしました。

This was my first use of this KIKO. It looks silvery in photo,
but it's a beautiful light green and looks pretty on this dark green Zoya

KIKO 626は初使用でした。写真ではシルバーっぽく見えて残念なのですが、このZoyaの上にスタンプしたときに思わず「はっ・・・！」と息を飲んでしまったほど美麗な色の組み合わせ。ダブルスタンプしたゴールドと言い、全体的にデザインも色も気に入ったネイルです。

気に入ったとは言っても、「ちょっと新年からシンプルすぎるかな・・・（反省）」という気持ちがありつつインスタにアップしたネイルでした。しかし何か小難しいテクニックでも使ったと思われた方が多かったようで意外でした。期待外れですみませんが単なるダブルスタンプなんです（笑。動画もまぁ需要はないだろうけど一応編集したから・・・と夜寝る前にアップして、朝起きて見たら「いいね」が８００件。

・・・こういうシンプルなの皆さんお好きなんでしょうか？どなたか教えてくださいｗ いろんな小難しいやり方をお見せしようと日々頭を悩ませている本人としては軽くショックです（笑。ちなみにさらにショックだったこと。３日経ってさっきオフしたら爪が大いに黄変していた！蜜柑の皮ぐらいの色に・・・。ベーキングソーダとレモンの果汁混ぜてゴシゴシこすりましたが、まだ残っています。シクシク。

Pastel Tweed Mani

I came up with another fun use of KIKO Cupcake polishes. I looked at the base from the previous mani and thought this would make a nice tweed mani I always wanted to try.

 For this mani, I recycled the base for thumb (Peach), pointer (Pistachio), and pinkie (Mint) from the previous mani, and I drew lots of short cross (x) lines using three different colours for each nail to achieve tweed look. The brush I used is Pure Color 10 I bought from StylishNailArtShop. For middle finger I showed the demo of (see tutorial at the end of this post), I started off with Pineapple, then drew cross lines using Ciate hopscotch, Sally Hansen White On, and Pistachio. Ring finger is simply painted with Lilac then topped with triangle studs Harunouta (Born Pretty Store) sent me for review, and a small rhinestone. I finally applied Seche Vite.

 I actually liked the look before applying Seche Vite. It looked 3D and really felt like a real tweed. I had difficulty capturing the 3D look with my camera in lightbox, so all my photos here were taken by my iPad with natural sunlight. Thus they look a bit darker than usual.

 Anyway, these cute textured polishes are so fun to use, and I so love them coz I can get creative with them!

KIKO Cupcakeを使ったネイルその２。前回はオレンジの果肉の表現するのに使いましたが、今回はそのザリザリ感を活かした新たなアイデアが閃きました。出来上がりはこちら。

今回のネイルは親指（Peach）、人差し指（Pistachio）、小指（Mint)のベースは前回のネイルからそのまま利用しています。各爪３色使って１色ずつ順に斜めの短い線を細筆（StylishNailArtShopのPure Color 10）で引く。動画でデモした中指はPineappleがベース、その上にCiate hopscotch、Sally Hansen White On、そしてPistachioの順に×印ができあがるように斜めの線を描いていきます。薬指はLilacを２度塗りした後に、「春の歌」さんから送られてきた三角スタッズ２つと楽天で買ったラインストーンを付ける。最後にSeche Viteで仕上げてパステルツイードネイルのできあがり。使用ポリッシュはこちら。

I like the colour combo on the pinkie best. The middle finger looked good till I applied Seche Vite.
I think the green texture (Pistacio) I added blended too much to the base yellow after SV

小指の感じが一番好きですかね。ボコっとしたツイードの感じが一番出ている気がします。中指もSeche Viteを塗るまではよかったのですが、SV後は奥行きのないぺったりした印象になってしまいました。

was wondering how they look mattified. I like this version too!

インスタに画像をアップした後、これらのポリッシュを送ってくださった「Nail of This Week」のChiroさんが「マットだとどうだろうか？」とご提案くださったので、マット化してみました。艶なしさらっさらになってこれはこれでイイかも(ﾟ∀ﾟ) なんとなくツイードというより「ニット」を想起しました。ちょっと写真がイマイチで申し訳ないです（汗。この３Dな感じがどうしてもライトボックスだと出なくて、今回のネイルはすべてiPadで室内撮りしました。全体的に写真が暗いのはそのせいです。

ツイードネイル、実は今回が初めてです。ずっとやりたいな～と思っていたのですが、このKIKO Cupcakeの手触りとツブツブ感を見て「これでやらなきゃどれでやる！？」と思ってしまいました。前回はオレンジの果肉、今回はツイードと、あらゆるものに変身するCupcake恐るべし。

では恒例の動画をどうぞ。初めてやるネイルなのに動画を作ってしまう厚かましさよ・・・（爆。でも「斜めツイードは珍しいですね」「参考になりました」なんて言葉をいただくと本当に嬉しくて、明日も頑張ろう！と思えます。一応これでも他とダブらないオリジナリティのあるネイルを目指しています。いつも暖かいコメントをありがとうございますｍ(_ _)ｍ

Textured Orange Stamping Mani

Now that beautiful KIKO and P2 polishes arrived, I wanted to play with them immediately. I was so curious about KIKO Cupcake polishes, because I have never seen anything like them from other brands. I actually have this mani in mind ever since Chiro @Nail of This Week kindly offered to send these KIKOs to me.

 For this mani, I started off with Ciate loop the loop on middle and ring fingers, then I made stamping decals using orange stamp from MoYou London Tropical 07 plate stamped with Mundo de Uñas Black. I coloured in the decals using 4 KIKO Cupcake polishes, Jasmine, Peach, Mint and Pistachio. Once that's dry, I applied Essence clear polish on my nails as a glue, then placed decals on them. I don't usually apply anything before placing decals, but this time I used textured polishes for colouring, so the decals won't stick to my nails otherwise.

 I painted two coats of Peach for thumb (which hardly shows on my photo), Pistachio for pointer, and Mint for pinkie. Then finished off with one coat of Seche Vite.

 I wish the coloured bits in the texture shows better through the stamp in photos, but at least it's pretty in real life. I was originally going to just use orange colour for this orange stamp, but these colours were looking so cute I couldn't resist using them together. I wasn't sure how those textured decals would turn out, but they didn't go that thick and easier to manage than I thought. Those cute colours on my nails make me so happy!

前回の記事でNail of This WeekのChiroさんに送っていただいたポリッシュたちをご紹介しましたが、早速使ってみました。このネイルはかなり以前からアイデアを温めていたのでまったく迷いませんでした。出来上がりはこちら。

中指と薬指のベースはCiate loop the loop。MoYou London Tropical 07のオレンジ（グレープフルーツ？）柄をMundo de Uñas Blackでスタンプしてdecalを作成。decalの色付けにはKIKO CupcakeコレクションのJasmine、Peach、Mint、Pistachioの４本を使用。decalを剥がして爪の形に切り取ったら、爪にEssenceクリアポリッシュを糊代わりに塗ってからdecalを貼り付け。いつもはこの手順はないのですが、今回はザリザリポリッシュを色付けに使ったので、これをしないと爪に貼りつきません。

あまり見えていない親指にはPeach、人差し指にはPistachio、それから小指にはMintをそれぞれ２度塗り。仕上げはSeche Vite。使用したポリッシュはこちら。

今回はザリザリをdecalの色付けに使うという初の試みをしてみました。分厚くなって扱いにくくなるかな？と思いきやそうでもなかったです。１つ失敗したのがベースに黄色を使ったこと。decalの色と馴染んでしまってコントラストがなくなってしまいました。

今回、Secheを１度塗りして仕上げたのですが、ザリザリ感を完全になくすには２度塗り以上必須ですね。Chiroさんもこちらの記事で「粒が粗くてトップコートで埋めるのが大変だった」とおっしゃっています。今回は１度塗りにして中途半端なザリザリ感を楽しんでみました(ﾟ∀ﾟ) いや、Secheでどう反応するか（縮むのか）が分からなかったので１度塗りっていうのもありますが。１日経過して縮みはまったくありません。

KIK Cupcake、思っていた通りの可愛い仕上がりになりました。実はMoYouのこのTropicalプレート、８月に購入したのに今回初使用でした。Cupcakeと組み合わせて使えて満足です＼(^o^)／

Nail Mail from Germany!

Last Thursday I received the most epic nail mail ever. The parcel arrived from my amazing friend in Germany, Chiro @ Nail of This Week. It all started when I wrote in my post somewhere that 'I wish I could get some KIKOs'. Chiro saw this comment and offered to send me some. I can't tell you how excited I was for this offer! I exchanged emails with her, listing up what polishes I'm interested and she even went to the KIKO store to get those polishes for me. What a sweetheart she is! I was so into textured polishes then and requested a bunch of KIKO Cupcakes and P2 Sand Style polishes, along with KIKO Mirror Metallics that were almost sold out everywhere. 

 Then, it arrived. Such a happy moment unwrapping those goodies! She even included some German treats and extra polishes. Seriously, I have never received such a big lot of polishes in one mail. She sent me 17 polishes all up! Thank you sooo much, Chiro-san, you've made my day...week...month...nope year!! :D Enough chitchat, let's go have a look at what I got!

先週木曜日の昼下がり、カシス家へやってきた配達物。「こんな大きいもの何頼んだっけな？」と思ってラベルを見るとDeutsche Post＝ドイツ郵便の文字。ドイツと言ったら・・・・・Chiroさんだ～～～～～～～！！！＼(^o^)／ ＼(^o^)／ はやる気持ちを抑えて包みを開けると、出てくる出てくる、大量のポリッシュが！(ﾟ∀ﾟ) ｸﾞﾊｰ

事の始まりは私が以前ブログで「欧州圏外に発送してくれないKIKO、なんとか入手できないものか」とボソっとつぶやいたこと。Chiroさんがその一言をご覧になって、「なら送るよ♪」とおっしゃってくださったのです(；▽；) その有難いお言葉に乗っからせていただき、何度かメールをやり取りして欲しいものをお伝えしました。わざわざ店舗に出向いてくださったりオンラインで取りよせてくださったり、そしてそして、もう売り切れだからと手持ちの中から分けていただいたり(；▽；) (；▽；) とにかくもう頭が下がりまくり、恐縮しまくりの中届いた今回のポリッシュたち、合計17本！前置きはこのくらいにしてさっそくご紹介＼(^o^)／

ズン！いやあね、私Dance Legendから取り寄せた１０本っていうのが一番多いnail mailだったんですが、記録を塗り替える１７本。圧巻です。このほかにChiroさんはドイツのお菓子とお手紙を入れてくださいました♡ 内訳はKIKO Cupcakeコレクション（texture=ザリザリ系）７本、Mirror Metallicsコレクション３本、それと普通のクリーム１本。P2 Sand Style ５本、最後にEssenceのトップコート１本。このうち何本からはおまけとして入れてくださいました(；▽；) もうドイツに足向けて寝れない、私(；▽；)

KIKOで当初一番欲しかったのがこのMirror Metallicsなのです。そのまま塗っても綺麗だし、スタンピングポリッシュとしても使えそうということで。10本近くあるこのコレクション、Chiroさんに「あるだけお願いしたいです！」と鼻息荒くお伝えしていて、店舗にまで出向いてくださったのですがどこも完売。オンラインでもほぼ完売ということで涙目だった私に、「手持ちにダブりがあるのでどうぞ」という神の声(；▽；) もう私、一生Chiroさんに付いていきます！ｗ

左の２本はゴールドやシルバーが入っているタイプ、右の３本はグリッター入り。可愛い・美味しそう系のKIKO Cupcakeとは一転してキラッキラ・ゴージャスなザリザリ＼(^o^)／

あとSwatchはないですが、Essenceのbetter than gel nailsトップコート。これは最近のポストの「スタンプの上に使えるトップコートを模索中」というコメントをご覧になったChiroさんが入れてくださったもの。どこまで気が利く女子なんですか、Chiroさんは(；▽；)

以上、ザリザリが大半というマニアックなラインアップですが、私にとってお初ブランドのKIKOとP2。ボトルの作りも高級感があって一目惚れしました。P2はプチプラブランドだそうですが、取っ手部分にグリップが利いてたりして安っぽさはまったくなし。ブラシもいい感じです。
