5th of September was Melissa @never_lacking_lacquer 's birthday, and Mary @dreamymm and Diana @dianavnisselroy gathered a bunch of us nail artists to recreate one of Melissa's designs to do a birthday collage. Mel likes neons and sparkles, so that was the theme for this recreation. I went through Mel's feed on Instagram, and oh my, she's got heaps of fabulous designs to choose from!

One of the designs that caught my eyes was a freehand geometric mani she did about 31 weeks ago. I remembered I had a geometric plate that I received from Harunouta a while ago, and decided to use it for this recreation.

Thumb, middle finger & ring finger: Base is Picture Polish cherish. I placed two sets of striping tapes horizontally on these nails, and painted Australis Play the game (neon blue) between the tapes. Then I made stamping decals out of two geometric images on BP-77 plate using Ya Qin An Black, and coloured in with gold, black, and white. I placed the decal on these nails and finished off with HK Girl topcoat.

Pointer & pinkie: Base is Australis Play the game, and I added two round gold studs.

Mel's original design is done by freehand, so this isn't a true-to-original type of recreation, yet I quite like the end result. Recreating other's work is always fun because you can get to create designs or use colour combos that you never come up with otherwise. Hope Mel likes our creations, and happy birthday!!

9/5はIGのお友達 Melissa @never_lacking_lacquerの誕生日ということで、Mary @dreamymm とDiana @dianavnisselroy が中心になって誕生日コラージュを作ろうということになりました。Melはネオンポリッシュとキラキラ系がお好きとのことで、お題は「ネオンとキラキラを取り入れたMelの過去のデザインの再現」。そこで早速Melのフィードをスクロールしてデザインを探しに行ってみる。素敵なデザインがいっぱいで目移りしながらも、あるネイルに特に心惹かれてそのネイルを再現してみることにしました。出来上がりはこちら。

親指、中指、薬指 : ベースはPicture Polish cherish。ラインテープを爪に水平に２本置き、その間をAustralis Play the game (ネオンブルー) で塗る。BP-77プレートの幾何学模様２つをYa Qin An Blackでスタンプし、金、黒、白で色付けしてdecal作成。爪にdecalを乗せてHK Girlトップコートでフィニッシュ。

人差し指と小指 : ベースはAustralis Play the game。金の丸スタッズを2つ追加してHK Girlトップコートでフィニッシュ。

そしてこちらがMelissaの元のデザイン。彼女のフィードをかなり下までスクロールしていくと、31週間前ぐらいに見当たります。デザインは斬新で複雑、色使いも素敵で一目で心を奪われてしまいました。彼女の作品はフリーハンドですが、「そういえばこれができそうなプレートがあったっけ？」ということでそのプレートを使ってみることにしました。

This is the first time I use this neon blue. It was a bit watery, but it's such a lovely colour.

お題がネオンとキラキラということだったので、ネオンブルーとゴールドを組み合わせてみました。ネオンってほとんど使わないのですが、このブルーも初めて塗りました。フォーミュラは少し水っぽくてキューティクルに流れる感じはありましたが、目の覚めるいい色ですね～。

I love geometric manis, and I'm glad I could finally get to use this plate. Hope Mel likes it too!

再現ネイルって自分が普段考え付かないようなデザインや色の組み合わせを試せるので楽しいですね。使ったことのなかったポリッシュとプレートを使えて嬉しいです。Melにも喜んでもらえて何より♡

There are still so many plates that are sitting untried, and my first and only Ya Qin An plate, Y 004 is one of them. You can see my review post here. I decided to also use Ya Qin An stamping polishes as well.

I started off with different colours for each nail (citrus, purple, turquoise, and coral). Then I stamped chevron pattern from BP-L006 using Ya Qin An #14 (pastel yellow) and #20 (pastel blue). Then I made stamping decal out of fruits images from Y 004 plate using Ya Qin An Chocolate, coloured in with KIKO Cupcake polishes my friend Chiro @nailofthisweek kindly sent me. I finished off with Glisten & Glow HK Girl topcoat, followed by Essie Matte About You.

I always try my design on my right hand to see if I like the look before recording the process on my left hand, and I tried white base with taupe chevron stamp for all my right hand nails. It was all right but I didn't find it very appealing, so I decided to make it colourful for my left hand. Ahh much better! I think the colourful look goes well with the cute fruit stamps.

ベースは各爪に４色使用（シトラス、紫、ターコイス、コーラル）。BP-L006のシェブロン柄をYa Qin An #14（パステルイエロー）と#20（パステルブルー）でスタンプ。次に、Y 004プレートの果物柄をYa Qin An Chocolateでスタンプし、 Chiroさん @nailofthisweekがはるばるドイツから送ってくださったKIKO Cupcakeコレクションのポリッシュを何本か使って色付け。仕上げはまずGlisten & Glow HK Girlトップコート、その後Essie Matte About Youでマット化。

The first time I used these KIKO Cupcakes was a fruit mani also (seen here).
These polishes are just too perfect for fruits :D

初めてKIKO Cupcakeを使用したのも同じくフルーツネイルでしたね（こちら）。このツブツブ感がフルーツを表すのに最適すぎる(ﾟ∀ﾟ) 次回は名前の通りカップケーキネイルでも使ってみたいです。

These KIKOs are textured, so I made sure I applied topcoat nice and thick so it doesn't feel bumpy

ちなみにいつも右手を仕上げてから左手に取り掛かるのですが、右手のベースはすべて白の上にトープ色のシェブロンにしたんです。まぁ悪くはないけど、パンチが足りないな・・・と思い、左手はカラフルにしてみました。Ya Qin Anのパステルブルーとパステルイエローも初めて使えて満足です。フルーツに使ったYa Qin An Chocolateはこれまで何度も使っていますが、この色使い勝手が良すぎる～。買い足し決定。

今回色付けに使ったKIKOはザリザリ系なので、ボコッとしないようになるべく薄く色付けした上でトップコートを厚く塗りました。違和感のない仕上がりになったのではないかと♪

September 14th Update: I replaced the video at the end of this post with YouTube version.

I keep reminding myself that I haven't done a sponge gradient mani for a long long time. I kept stalling, telling myself 'not until I get liquid latex', but now that I have 3 liquid latex products (Crystalline Nail Veil, Protect 'n Peel & Simply Peel), I have no reason not to do it.

Middle finger & ring finger: I started off with white base (JOSS Will Not) and applied topcoat. I applied Simply Peel around my cuticle area, then applied purple, pink, yellow and green on a makeup sponge and dabbled onto those nails. I repeated this step few times and peeled off Simply Peel. I topcoated to smooth out the surface, then stamped a floral pattern from BP-L018 plate with Ya Qin An White. Then, I made a stamping decal out of Matryoshka doll on the same plate, using with Ya Qin An Chocolate. I used white, pink and yellow polish to colour in then placed it onto those nails. I finished off with Glisten & Glow HK Girl topcoat.

Thumb, pointer & pinkie: Same step for gradient. I stamped a different Matryoshka doll pattern with Ya Qin An Chocolate.

I checked back my feed on Instagram, and my last sponge gradient mani was done 8 months ago (on this mani)! I almost forgot how to do it to be honest, lol. Although I wasn't 100% happy with the gradient itself, I like the overall look. Those Matryoshka dolls are so adorable.

中指と薬指: ベースは白（JOSS Will Not）。まずトップコートを塗っておく。キューティクル周りにSimply Peelを塗っておき、三角スポンジに紫、ピンク、黄色、緑のポリッシュを塗って爪にポンポンと乗せる。これを数回繰り返してSimply Peelを剥がす。トップコートを塗って表面をならしたら、BP-L018プレートの花柄をYa Qin An Whiteでスタンプ。次に、同じプレートのマトリョーシカをYa Qin An Chocolateでスタンプしてdecal作成。白、ピンク、黄色で色付けして爪に乗せる。仕上げはGlisten & Glow HK Girlトップコート。

親指、人差し指、小指: グラデーションは同じ要領。同じプレートの別のマトリョーシカ柄をYa Qin An Chocolateでスタンプ。

This plate is full of Christmassy patterns, but I couldn't get my eyes off this cute
matryoshka dolls! I wanted to create something fun and colourful

「そろそろやらなきゃ」と思ったテクニックとはグラデーションのことです。一番最後にやったスポンジグラデネイルは実に8か月前（汗。（そのネイルがこちら）。「リキッドラテックスが届いてから～」とずっと後回しにしていましたが、既にCrystalline Nail Veil、Protect 'n Peel、Simply Peelの３つものリキッドラテックスを手にしたので、そろそろやらねばと思ったわけです。グラデーション自体、100％満足なわけではありませんが、可愛いマトリョーシカスタンプの裏に隠れたのでなかなかいいんじゃないでしょうか（笑。

I'm sure I will revisit this plate around Christmas time. So many cute patterns!

このプレートはクリスマス・冬をテーマにした柄が多いのですが、マトリョーシカ柄を見逃しませんでしたよ(ﾟ∀ﾟ) 小さいコロコロしたマトリョーシカかわええ。クリスマス時期になったらまたこのプレート使ってみます。

Out of 10 beautiful plates Harunouta sent me (as seen in this post), the first plate I grabbed was BP-L020, a lace plate.

I started off with Dance Legend Steel Panther, and applied Simply Peel around my cuticle for easy cleanup. I stamped a lacy floral pattern from BP-L020 using Ya Qin An Black stamping polish and peeled off Simply Peel. Then, I leadlighted with my homemade jellies with a dotting tool and finished off with Glisten & Glow HK Girl topcoat. You can see how I made these jellies on this post. For pinkie, I simply added SS8 swarovski crystals on top of the base.

I did two stained glass manis before (here and here), and used DL Steel Panther both times. It's so sparkly, I really can't think of any better polish for this look. I'm so glad I could take photos of this mani in full sun!

I took the lesson from my peacock stained glass mani, and this time I only leadlighted once for each colour. The colours are still bold enough and you can see the sparkles well. Win-win!

ステンドグラスネイルは以前にも２回やっています（これとこれ）が、どちらもDance Legend Steel Pantherを使っています。手持ちポリッシュの中でトップ５に入るぐらい好きです、このポリッシュ。輝きが強烈すぎて小指のスワロが霞んでるｗ

It's a simple process, but I tried to leadlight as precisely as possible to achieve a neat look.
I'm proud of this one!

かなり細かくなるべく丁寧に色付けするよう心掛けたので出来栄えには満足です。孔雀ネイルをしたときは色を濃くし過ぎて下のホロが見えづらくなってしまったので、その教訓を活かして今回は１回だけ色付け。マクロショットも１枚撮っておけば良かったな～。しかし今日は曇りなんだ・・・orz

Harunouta spoiled me once again by sending me some stamping supplies. This time I received Ya Qin An stamping polishes and hehe/BP/Y stamping plates. I have done a similar review not long time ago on this post, so please go have a look if you're interested.

春の歌さんから何度目かのモニター商品が到着したので、今日はそのご紹介。今回はYa Qin Anスタンピングポリッシュ、hehe/BP/Yシリーズのスタンピングプレートを送っていただきました。少し前にこのポストで似たようなレビューをしていますので、興味がある方はそちらも合わせてどうぞ。

This is what I received. Ya Qin An stamping polishes, hehe plates, BP-L plates, BP plate, and Y plate. Not shown here but there were few missing items that arrived later as a second package. I'll include those items in this post as well.

これが内容物。Ya Qin Anスタンピングポリッシュ、heheプレート、BP長方形プレート、BP丸プレート、それからYプレート。ここには写っていないのですが、いくつか不足分があって後日別便で届きました。以降の写真ではそれも含めています。

I'll show you Ya Qin An polishes first. There was a change in the bottle size and these are 18ml each. The last batch I received before was 15ml. I fell in love with these Ya Qin An polishes when I reviewed them before, so I asked for quite a bit this time. The product page is here and here.

まずはYa Qin Anポリッシュから。ボトルの形状とサイズが以前のものとは変わったようで、これらは各18ml。以前送っていただいたものは15mlでした。Ya Qin Anポリッシュは前回のレビューでその品質に感動したので、今回多目に頼みました。製品ページはこちらとこちら。

And here's the paper swatch of each colour on black and white. From left - #14 (pastel yellow), #16 (light gray), #17 (navy), #20 (pastel blue). All the polishes are only labelled with number and no name. The plates I used for the test is Dashica Infinity 70 as always.

そしてこれが黒と白の上での紙swatch。左から - #14 (パステルイエロー), #16 (ライトグレー), #17 (ネイビー), #20 (パステルブルー)。すべて番号だけで名前は付いていません。使用したプレートはいつものDashica Infinity 70。

Then White on black paper and Black on white paper. The Black was a bit thicker than others and were slightly hard to work with. I'll probably add some drops of thinner later.

それから、白の上にBlack、黒の上にWhiteをスタンプ。Blackは他のよりも少しもったり気味で若干スタンプしにくかったです。あとで薄め液を投入する予定。

This Black is really opaque, the full image remains on the stamper even AFTER I stamped on paper.

このBlack、テキスチャーがかなり濃くて紙にスタンプした後も柄がそのまんまスタンパーに残りました。しゃばしゃばなポリッシュではこうはなりません。

For three of the colours except for black, white and navy, I pulled out my Mundo de Uñas polishes for comparison. From left - Ya Qin An #14, Mundo de Uñas Cream, Mundo de Uñas Pastel Yellow. Ya Qin An leans toward more yellow than MdU Cream, but not as quite as yellow as MdU Pastel Yellow.

黒と白とネイビー以外の３本について、Mundo de Uñasの手持ちの似た色で比較してみました。左から - Ya Qin An #14、Mundo de Uñas Cream、Mundo de Uñas Pastel Yellow。Ya Qin AnはMdU CreamとMdU Pastel Yellowの中間色と言ったところでしょうか。

Next up is light gray/taupe. From left - Ya Qin An #16, Mundo de Uñas Light Gray, Mundo de Uñas Taupe. When I first looked at this Ya Qin An #16, I thought this might be quite similar to MdU Taupe, but not so much. It definitely has a taupe hue compared to MdU Light Gray though.

次はグレー/トープ系。左から、Ya Qin An #16、Mundo de Uñas Light Gray、Mundo de Uñas Taupe。このYa Qin An #16を見て、「あれ？トープかな」と思いましたが、MdU Taupeと比べるとだいぶ違いますね。MdU Light Grayにややトープが混じった感じの色。

Lastly, light blue. From left - Ya Qin An #20, Mundo de Uñas Lavendar, Mundo de Uñas Blue Gray. I'm glad that they are all completely different.

最後にライトブルー。左から - Ya Qin An #20、Mundo de Uñas Lavendar、Mundo de Uñas Blue Gray。どれもまったく違うのでちょっと嬉しい。

As I expected, these Ya Qin An polishes stamp great and I really love them. I'm so keen to get every one of them on the site. Not stated on the website, but I checked and found out that they are 3-free, which is a bonus. I didn't mention in my last review post, but the dry time on these is relatively fast. You might want to work quickly so that the polish doesn't dry out on stamper. Smell isn't bad, and I actually quite like it. Texture is similar to Mundo de Uñas polishes, but not overly thick and easy to work with, except Black. Also 'a little goes a long way' applies to these polishes as well.

そんな感じでYa Qin Anポリッシュ、今回も二重丸でした。セールの時にでも全色揃えようかと思っています。サイトには書かれていませんが、確認したところ3フリーだそうです。ちなみに前回のレビューで触れませんでしたが、乾きはだいぶ速い方です。ポリッシュがスタンパーで乾かないようすばやく転写することをお勧めします。においは悪くないです。むしろ好きな方です。テキスチャーはMdUに似ていますが、Black以外は過剰にもったりすることもなく滑らか。MdUと同じくプレートに少量乗せるだけでよく伸びます。

Moving onto stamping plates. These are BP-L018, BP-L020, BP-L024, and BP-74.

お次はスタンピングプレート。BPシリーズからBP-L018、BP-L020、BP-L024、BP-74。

And then, hehe 017, 025, 047, 052, 055, plus new-to-me Y 004. Y series plate is also of the brand Ya Qin An. I absolutely loved the hehe plates when I did the review before, so I had to grab more.

そしてhehe 017、025、047、052、055、およびY 004。YシリーズのプレートはYa Qin Anのものです。前回のレビューでheheプレートがものすごくよかったので、今回また大量入手。

Paper swatch of BP-L018 plate. Swatch is done with either Ya Qin An Purple, Chocolate, and #17 (navy). Stampers used are either Messy Mansion rectangle or Fab Ur Nails round. Images on the top two rows are 1.9cm x 1.4cm in size. I did the elephant few times because the head keeps cutting off. Not the etching problem, just my mistake. All images stamp great.

そして紙swatch。まずはBP-L018。swatchにはYa Qin An Purple、Chocolate、#17 (ネイビー)の３本を使用。スタンパーはMessy Mansion長方形またはFab Ur Nailsの丸スタンパー。上の２段の柄のサイズは1.9cm x 1.4cm。象さんの頭が何度か切れてしまったのでやり直しています。彫りの問題ではなく私のやり方の問題です。どの柄も綺麗にスタンプしました。

BP-L020, lace plate. Again, all images stamp superb even the fine lines. Full size images are 2.0cm x 1.4cm.

レース柄満載のBP-L020。細い線までくっきりスタンプしました。こちらのフルサイズ柄は2.0cm x 1.4cm。

BP-L024, flower plate. Images are 2.5cm x 1.5cm, perfect for long nails. Super pretty and stamps great.

お花プレート、BP-L024。サイズは2.5cm x 1.5cmで長い爪向き。可愛いプレートですね。

BP-74, butterflies and dragon flies. I have quite a few butterfly plates, but I keep hoarding. lol

チョウチョとトンボのBP-74。チョウチョプレートはたくさん持っているのですが、新しいのを見るとつい欲しくなってしまいますｗ

hehe 017 & 047. I thought the images with circle around them is quite unique. 047 is another Asian plate that I completely adore.

hehe 017 & 047。円の中に柄が入っているスタンプって珍しいですね。047はまたアジア風のプレートです。heheのアジアプレートは本当に秀逸(ﾟ∀ﾟ)。

hehe 052 & 055. Love the maple leaves on 052, and the size is so perfect. 055 is absolutely cute and couldn't resist getting it.

hehe 025, Harry Potter Hogwarts plate. You don't get much images out of this plate, but I think the stained glass looking stamp is unique and pretty.

ハリーポッターのホグワーツプレート、hehe 025。真ん中にホグワーツの紋章があります。柄のバリエーションが少ないですが、ステンドグラスっぽい柄が使えそうかなと。

Lastly Y004, fruit plate. I love that these are outline stamps that I can colour in. It stamps superb as you can see.

最後に果物プレートのY004。色付けできるようになっているのがいいですね。細い線でも綺麗にスタンプしています。

No etching problems are found on those plates. It's great that Harunouta sells high quality plates for an affordable price. They are all available on Born Pretty Store as well, except hehe plates. July 30th was my IG friend Debbie @ladyandthe_stamp's birthday, and Tracy @scarletohara65 contacted Debbie's friends including me to do a birthday mani for her. The theme wasn't set, just whatever we think Deb will like. Some created a recreation of one of her designs, but I decided to do a fresh mani using her favourite colour, turquoise.

Thumb, middle finger & ring finger : I started off with Dance Legend Holy Diver. I used a diamond pattern from BP-L009 plate sent by Harunouta using Mundo de Uñas Black. I painted roughly half of these nails in black diagonally, then stamped a floral pattern from hehe 043 using MdU Gold (for middle finger) and Reddish (for ring finger). I finished off with Glisten & Glow HK Girl topcoat.

Pointer & pinkie : Base is the same and I used the same diamond pattern from BP-L009, but only half the pattern using a metal template from Messy Mansion (review post here). Finished off with the same topcoat.

This Holy Diver is such a fabulous turquoise holo, and I knew Debbie has it and loves it. This mani was created about 2 weeks ago when we had cloudy days on end. I kept putting off creating this because I wanted to take pics in full sun. Debbie was so excited about our creations, and that made us all really happy!

7/30はインスタのお友達Debbie @ladyandthe_stampの誕生日でした。Debbieの親友の Tracy @scarletohara65が私を含む共通の友達に声を掛けてくれて、彼女のためにネイルを作成しようということに。バースデーネイルのテーマは特になかったので、Debbeのネイルの再現ネイルをやった人もいれば、彼女の好きな「ターコイズ」を使ったネイルをした人もいました。私は後者です。出来上がりはこちら。

親指、中指、薬指 : ベースはDance Legend Holy Diver。春の歌からいただいたBP-L009のダイヤ柄をMundo de Uñas Blackでスタンプ。爪の半分ほどを斜めに黒で塗りつぶし、hehe 043の花柄をMdU Gold（中指）およびReddish（薬指）でスタンプ。仕上げはGlisten & Glow HK Girlトップコート。

人差し指と小指 : ベースは同じ。BP-L009の同じ柄をスクレイプしてMessy Mansionのメタルテンプレート（レビュー記事はこちら)を置き、その上からピックアップして爪に転写。仕上げは同じトップコート。

ちなみにこれがバースデーコラージュ。Debbieはたくさんの方に愛されているのが分かりますね♡

久々にHoly Diverを塗ったので単体での写真も撮りましたよ。このホロのプリズムはいつ見てもヤバい(ﾟ∀ﾟ) Debbieもこのポリッシュを持っていて、大好きなポリッシュだと言っていたので今回採用。

When I use sparkly polish like, I sometimes don't know what colours to match it.
Black & gold works great for any colour, but surprisingly red goes quite well also

こういうキラキラすぎるポリッシュを使うときってどんな色と合わせるか非常に迷うのですが、とりあえず定番の黒と金を合わせてみて、最後に赤を追加。花スタンプの土台となる部分を黒で塗りつぶしたのはこうした方がその上の花が映えるから。でないとたぶんベースのキラキラに負けます。

I used Messy Mansion metal template for the first time. You can use thick paper for the same purpose, but I like that it's much sturdier and reusable

今回、Messy MansionのAccessory Kitに入っていたメタルテンプレートを初めて使ってみました。ちょっと厚めの紙でも同じ使い方ができますが、ボロボロになったりしないしアセトンで綺麗にして再利用できるのが◎。もっと活用していきたいですね。

このネイルを作ったのはちょうど２週間前。ず～っと曇りの日が続いていたので作成を先延ばしにしていました。やっぱりこのホロは晴天下で撮りたかったので。工程はあっけないほど簡単でDebbieに気に入ってもらえるか心配でしたが、嬉しいコメントをいただけたので一安心♪
