Happy Easter! Easter is one of the holidays that we don't celebrate in Japan, and as I work for a company in Japan, I worked during Easter as usual. With work along with cleaning and packing to be ready for the move (plus, I'm going away from home for a week and a half this week and next week), I'm a super busy bee. I haven't checked Instagram since I posted my last mani, and missed out on all the cute Easter manis by other nail artists.

For this mani, I started off with BC Co. shade #26 for middle finger, ring finger & thumb. Then I made a stamping decal out of tribal pattern from FUN 15 plate using Mundo de Uñas White. I used 4 Ciate colours (listed below) to colour the decals and placed on those nails. For other fingers, I painted JOSS Will Not and topped with square pastel studs I bought from eBay, and finished off with Glisten & Glow HK Girl topcoat.

This sort of reminds me of Easter eggs and I didn't even try to go for Easter inspired mani! I've been keeping my eyes on this tribal pattern on FUN 15 and been wanting to try pastel tribal mani. Pretty simple and basic decal mani, but I'm happy with the result.

4月だというのに１人師走状態のカシスです、こんにちわ。こちらは先週金曜からイースター休暇だったのですが、日本のオフィスに「イースターなので休みます」とか申告するのも面倒で普通に仕事してました。仕事の後は引っ越しに向けた掃除と梱包もあるし、早く落ち着きたい(｡-_-｡) さて、暇がなくて５日ほどインスタを覗いていなかったのですが、さっき見に行ったらイースターネイルが花盛りって感じですね。同時に、色んな人のデザインと被ったなと思ってしまったのが今日のネイル。出来上がりはこちら。

中指、薬指、親指のベースはBC Co. shade #26（ベージュ）。FUN 15のトライバル柄をMundo de Uñas Whiteでスタンプし、4本のCiateを使って色付けしてdecal作成。ベージュの爪の上に乗せる。他の指はJOSS Will Notの上にeBayで買った四角いパステルスタッズを乗せてGlisten & Glow HK Girlトップコートでフィニッシュ。使用ポリッシュはこちら。

I think this is the first time in a very long time that I did full decal like this.
Technical wise, it's too simple for me and I was so itching to add something else, but
left it as that as this is quite cute on it's own

「被っちまったな～」と思ったのはこのデザインと色。何となくイースターエッグに似てませんか？こんな感じのパステル系のネイル、インスタでたくさん見ましたよ。このトライバル柄はFUN 15プレートで一番気に入ってる柄で、「絶対白スタンプでパステル系にする！」と決めていたのですが、もうちょい早くやればよかったなぁ。

引っ越し準備のごたごたで早くも数本、爪の角を折ってしまいました(｡-_-｡) しかも動画でいつもデモしている中指・・(｡-_-｡) とりあえずdecal被せたら隠せるかな？と思って作ったネイルでもあります（笑。しばらく薬指でデモすることになりそうです。

I was so thrilled to be invited by Galina @yagala to be part of birthday collage for Ludmila @lisionok2004. I only discovered Luda's account recently, but glad I did because she has so many beautiful manis and helpful tutorials. Adi @adibuki organised this and she, Galina @yagala, Elle @with2l, Cristina @crisalvarado17 and I @cassis_p decided to recreate one of Luda's manis.

I chose to recreate this mani she did long time ago. It's a pretty floral mani but with a punk feel to it with random studs, and I really love it. Luda's work is freehand, but mine has to be a stamping (at least the flowers anyway).

For this mani I started off with Color Club Harp On It and, and drew stripes diagonally using orange (KIKO Melon), copper (Kleancolor Coffee Addict), and red (Ciate boudoir) with a detail brush sent for review by Harunouta (aka Born Pretty Store. Item is shown here). For flowers, I made a stamping decal using MoYou London Pro XL 03 with Mundo de Uñas Cafe, and coloured in with red mixed with Dance Legend Steel Panther & orange. I topped with black, orange, and clear round studs and finished off with Glisten & Glow HK Girl topcoat.

I'm so excited with this look. This colour combo is something I don't normally come up with, and I got to do a little bit of freehand also (yes, it's a big improvement for me!). Luda used white for base, but I changed it to silver holographic which is Color Club Harp On It. I couldn't resist it because it's such a perfect sunny season to wear holos. Wishing Luda a very happy birthday!

今回のネイルはいつもと趣向が違ったネイルです。インスタのLudmila @lisionok2004 が1/24に誕生日を迎えるにあたって、何人かで彼女のために誕生日コラージュをやろうということになりました。Ludaのアカウントは実は最近知ったのですが、Galina @yagala から声を掛けてもらったときは二つ返事で承諾しました。企画人でLudaの友達のAdi @adibuki、Galina @yagala、Elle @with2l、Cristina @crisalvarado17、そして私 @cassis_p の５人によるコラージュです。そうそうたるメンバーに混じったしがないスタンパー１人・・・（笑。

どういうコラージュにしようかね？という話になり、色々案は出ましたが最終的に「Ludaの過去ネイルを再現」という内容に落ち着きました。彼女は膨大な数のネイルを披露しているので、あれこれ目移りしながら選んだのがこちらのネイル。そして私の出来上がりはこちら。

ベースはColor Club Harp On It。春の歌さんから送っていただいた極細ブラシ（写真はこちら)を使ってオレンジ（KIKO Melon)、コッパー（Kleancolor Coffee Addict）、および赤（Ciate boudoir)の３色を対角線上に塗る。次に、MoYou London Pro XL 03の花をMundo de Uñas Cafeでスタンプしてdecal作成。色付けには同じ赤にDance Legend Steel Pantherを混ぜたものとオレンジを使用。黒、オレンジ、クリアの丸スタッズを乗せてGlisten & Glow HK Girlトップコートで仕上げ。

こちらがAdiが作ってくれた誕生日コラージュ。真ん中の人がバースデーガールのLuda。こんな素敵なアーティストさんたちに混じれたことに大興奮！

赤・コッパー・オレンジというのは私自身思いつかない組み合わせでちょっと新鮮でした。それから、お花をフィーチャーしつつ、ランダム感のあるスタッズがちょっとパンクな感じがあってカッコいいなぁと。Ludaのお花は手描きですが、私はもちろんスタンプ（笑。ちょっと大振りなお花が気に入っています。ストライプはやや曲線にしたのでテープを使わず手描きにしました。ちょっと雑な線ですがそれも味があっていいじゃない？（笑。オレンジのKIKOはChiroさんが送ってくださったものを初使用♪ 手持ちにオレンジが少ないのですが、これは蜜柑のような柔らかい色で使いやすいです。

Ludaはベースに白を使っていますが、ちょっと考えてシルバーホロのHarp On Itにしました。夏の間は積極的にホロを塗っていきたいので。あまりのギラギラぶりにカメラ（iPad mini）が驚いて所どころ白くなってますがｗ

そんなわけでLudaの誕生日おめでとうネイルでした。おめでたいイベントに参加でき、素晴らしいアーティストさんたちと交流できて非常に楽しい時を過ごしました。Luda、お誕生日おめでとう！！

Happy New Year! Last year was an incredible year for me as I got to connect with so many nail artists, opened Instagram account and gained 14K followers, and last but not least, have my own YouTube channel! It was such a busy year but fun.

This year I'm thinking of slowing down just a little bit. I have a full time job (I'm not a nail tech, mind you), and most of my time outside work was dedicated to coming up with nail designs, creating them, filming the process as I create manis, writing up blog posts in 2 languages, and editing video tutorials. And oh yes, I do most of the housework too! It was like having two full time jobs. It's sometimes quite exhausting and I know I can't keep this pace up very long. I love seeing my Instagram account and YouTube channel grow, but that's not the purpose of my nail painting.

So this is one of my new year resolutions - slow down to my comfortable pace. Hopefully this will also give me time to practice what I'm not good at, freehand, watermarble, etc. I looked back on my last year's new year resolutions on this post (although I only wrote this in Japanese) and it says:

1. Try not to buy too many polishes
2. Use all the untried
3. Do some frankening

At that time, I had 120 polishes but now.... about 240!! Haha! Well, I really need to slow down on this too. I have unbelievable number of untried also. *_* At least I got to franken quite a few polishes though!

Well, enough talk. Let's have a look at today's mani, shall we? I posted this mani on my Instagram on New Year's eve. In Japan, watching sunrise on New Year's Day is thought to bring good luck, so I created this mani for my friends and followers who may miss out on a real thing.

I started off with white base, and applied PVA glue around my cuticles and placed masking tape on about 1/3 of each nail near the tip. I then did sponge gradient using pinkish red, orange and yellow, peeled off the glue and masking tape. I painted Sinful Colors Cinderella (light blue) near the tip and the base is done. Next, I made stamping decal using Torii gate image from Dashica Infinity 81 stamped with Mundo de Uñas Black, and placed it onto middle finger. I added birds from MoYou London Kitty 11 and painted the sunrise image in red and handpainted sun reflection in water using this detail brush from Born Pretty Store.

For pointer and ring finger, after the gradient, I painted A England Dancing With Nureyev near the tip and stamped trees and branches from MoYou London Suki 02 (ring finger) and Chez Delaney Asiatique 001 (pointer). I added some white dots on the trees and branches to represent snow. For pinkie, I added Kanji stamp from Chez Delaney Asiatique 001 plate, meaning 'happiness'.

This took me few hours to create but I'm so happy with the result. I have seen so many NYE manis featuring fireworks, but this is so different and I'm glad to share a piece of Japanese tradition in my mani.

明けましておめでとうございます。昨年は私にとって大きな変化のあった年でした。たくさんのネイルアーティストさんたちと知り合うことができ、インスタグラムの開設に続いて自分のYouTubeチャンネルを持つまでになりました。年初には思いもよらなかったことです。忙しく、実りの多い１年でした。

新しい年を迎えて考えたのは、もう少し自分らしいペースで行こうかな、ということ。インスタを始めてから、毎日のようにネイルをアップされている皆さんのポストにつられて、自分のネイルチェンジのペースも少し早まった気がします。フルタイムの仕事と家事に加えて、ネイルデザインを考えて動画を撮って編集して、２か国語でブログも書いてインスタとYouTubeにアップ・・・という作業は思いのほか重労働で時間もかかります。他に自由になる時間はほとんど残りません。他のネイルアーティストさんたちのところにゆっくりお邪魔する時間もままなりません。インスタのフォロワーやYouTubeの登録者が増えていくのを見るのは楽しいですが、それが目的ではなかったはずです。

なので、今年は自分らしいペースで行こう、というのが新年の抱負の１つ。余った時間で苦手な手描きやウォーターマーブルの練習もしていきたいと思います。ちなみに昨年の新年の抱負がこの記事に書いてありますね。いわく、

一、新しいポリッシュの購入はほどほどに
二、未使用ポリッシュをゼロにしよう
三、自作に挑戦しよう

ふっ・・・・・。ちょうど１年前はポリッシュ所持数１２０本だった模様。この前数えたら２４０本あったよ・・・（フランケン、スタンピングポリッシュ、トップコート類除く）。それに伴い未使用ポリッシュも激増。自作（＝フランケン）だけ唯一頑張った点ですかね。今年も引き続き、「せめてHelmer１つに収まる程度のポリッシュ数に留めよう」という抱負を掲げたいと思います。あとは先ほど言ったように苦手分野を頑張っていきたいと思います。

では今日のネイル。インスタに大晦日にアップしたネイルです。出来上がりはこちら。

白ベースでスタート。まずPVAグルーをキューティクル付近に塗っておき、爪先1/3程度をマスキングテープで隠しておく。三角スポンジにピンク寄りの赤、オレンジ、黄色の３色を塗り、爪にぽんぽんと数回乗せてグラデーション作成。グルーとマスキングテープを剥がして爪先にSinful Colors Cinderella（薄い青）を塗ったらベースは完成。次にDashica Infinity 81の鳥居柄をMundo de Uñas Blackでスタンプして中指に配置。その上にMoYou London Kitty 11から鳥をスタンプし、朝日を赤で塗りつぶして水面に朝日の反射を手描き。この時に使用したのは「春の歌」さんのこちらのブラシです。

人差し指と薬指はグラデーション後、A-England Dancing With Nureyevを爪先付近に斜めに塗り、その上にMoYou London Suki 02 (薬指)とChez Delaney Asiatique 001 (人差し指)から木や枝を追加。その上に雪を表す点をドット棒で追加。小指はChez Delaney Asiatique 001から「幸福」の文字をスタンプ。仕上げはNail of This WeekのChiroさんからいただいたEssence Better than Gelnailsトップコート。

テーマは言わずもがなですが「初日の出」です。日本では初日の出を見るとご利益があるといわれていることをインスタに書いて、「実際の初日の出が見られないかもしれない人のために作ったよ！」と一言添えてアップしました。すると「そんないわれがあるなんて知らなかった、日本の伝統を教えてくれてありがとう」とか「実際の初日の出が見られなかったらこのネイル見させてもらうね！」などなど、反応をいただけてこちらまで嬉しくなりました。漢字スタンプもベタではありますが、これを見た皆さんに幸福が訪れますように、の意味を込めました。

ちなみにこのキラキラしている青いポリッシュはA-England Dancing With Nureyev。これとSinful Cinderellaの組み合わせってどこかで見ませんでしたっけ？ｗまたチョイ役で使ってしまったよ(ﾟ∀ﾟ;)

というわけで新年第１弾の初日の出ネイルでした。ニューイヤーネイルって海外では花火が定番なんですが、そもそも花火って日本人の感覚では夏の風物詩ですよね。シドニーの大晦日花火のネイルもやりたかったのですが、今回は「和」で攻めてみました。出来上がりに満足です。

I came up with another fun use of KIKO Cupcake polishes. I looked at the base from the previous mani and thought this would make a nice tweed mani I always wanted to try.

For this mani, I recycled the base for thumb (Peach), pointer (Pistachio), and pinkie (Mint) from the previous mani, and I drew lots of short cross (x) lines using three different colours for each nail to achieve tweed look. The brush I used is Pure Color 10 I bought from StylishNailArtShop. For middle finger I showed the demo of (see tutorial at the end of this post), I started off with Pineapple, then drew cross lines using Ciate hopscotch, Sally Hansen White On, and Pistachio. Ring finger is simply painted with Lilac then topped with triangle studs Harunouta (Born Pretty Store) sent me for review, and a small rhinestone. I finally applied Seche Vite.

I actually liked the look before applying Seche Vite. It looked 3D and really felt like a real tweed. I had difficulty capturing the 3D look with my camera in lightbox, so all my photos here were taken by my iPad with natural sunlight. Thus they look a bit darker than usual.

Anyway, these cute textured polishes are so fun to use, and I so love them coz I can get creative with them!

KIKO Cupcakeを使ったネイルその２。前回はオレンジの果肉の表現するのに使いましたが、今回はそのザリザリ感を活かした新たなアイデアが閃きました。出来上がりはこちら。

今回のネイルは親指（Peach）、人差し指（Pistachio）、小指（Mint)のベースは前回のネイルからそのまま利用しています。各爪３色使って１色ずつ順に斜めの短い線を細筆（StylishNailArtShopのPure Color 10）で引く。動画でデモした中指はPineappleがベース、その上にCiate hopscotch、Sally Hansen White On、そしてPistachioの順に×印ができあがるように斜めの線を描いていきます。薬指はLilacを２度塗りした後に、「春の歌」さんから送られてきた三角スタッズ２つと楽天で買ったラインストーンを付ける。最後にSeche Viteで仕上げてパステルツイードネイルのできあがり。使用ポリッシュはこちら。

I like the colour combo on the pinkie best. The middle finger looked good till I applied Seche Vite.
I think the green texture (Pistacio) I added blended too much to the base yellow after SV

小指の感じが一番好きですかね。ボコっとしたツイードの感じが一番出ている気がします。中指もSeche Viteを塗るまではよかったのですが、SV後は奥行きのないぺったりした印象になってしまいました。

インスタに画像をアップした後、これらのポリッシュを送ってくださった「Nail of This Week」のChiroさんが「マットだとどうだろうか？」とご提案くださったので、マット化してみました。艶なしさらっさらになってこれはこれでイイかも(ﾟ∀ﾟ) なんとなくツイードというより「ニット」を想起しました。ちょっと写真がイマイチで申し訳ないです（汗。この３Dな感じがどうしてもライトボックスだと出なくて、今回のネイルはすべてiPadで室内撮りしました。全体的に写真が暗いのはそのせいです。

ツイードネイル、実は今回が初めてです。ずっとやりたいな～と思っていたのですが、このKIKO Cupcakeの手触りとツブツブ感を見て「これでやらなきゃどれでやる！？」と思ってしまいました。前回はオレンジの果肉、今回はツイードと、あらゆるものに変身するCupcake恐るべし。

では恒例の動画をどうぞ。初めてやるネイルなのに動画を作ってしまう厚かましさよ・・・（爆。でも「斜めツイードは珍しいですね」「参考になりました」なんて言葉をいただくと本当に嬉しくて、明日も頑張ろう！と思えます。一応これでも他とダブらないオリジナリティのあるネイルを目指しています。いつも暖かいコメントをありがとうございますｍ(_ _)ｍ

Now that beautiful KIKO and P2 polishes arrived, I wanted to play with them immediately. I was so curious about KIKO Cupcake polishes, because I have never seen anything like them from other brands. I actually have this mani in mind ever since Chiro @Nail of This Week kindly offered to send these KIKOs to me.

For this mani, I started off with Ciate loop the loop on middle and ring fingers, then I made stamping decals using orange stamp from MoYou London Tropical 07 plate stamped with Mundo de Uñas Black. I coloured in the decals using 4 KIKO Cupcake polishes, Jasmine, Peach, Mint and Pistachio. Once that's dry, I applied Essence clear polish on my nails as a glue, then placed decals on them. I don't usually apply anything before placing decals, but this time I used textured polishes for colouring, so the decals won't stick to my nails otherwise.

I painted two coats of Peach for thumb (which hardly shows on my photo), Pistachio for pointer, and Mint for pinkie. Then finished off with one coat of Seche Vite.

I wish the coloured bits in the texture shows better through the stamp in photos, but at least it's pretty in real life. I was originally going to just use orange colour for this orange stamp, but these colours were looking so cute I couldn't resist using them together. I wasn't sure how those textured decals would turn out, but they didn't go that thick and easier to manage than I thought. Those cute colours on my nails make me so happy!

前回の記事でNail of This WeekのChiroさんに送っていただいたポリッシュたちをご紹介しましたが、早速使ってみました。このネイルはかなり以前からアイデアを温めていたのでまったく迷いませんでした。出来上がりはこちら。

中指と薬指のベースはCiate loop the loop。MoYou London Tropical 07のオレンジ（グレープフルーツ？）柄をMundo de Uñas Blackでスタンプしてdecalを作成。decalの色付けにはKIKO CupcakeコレクションのJasmine、Peach、Mint、Pistachioの４本を使用。decalを剥がして爪の形に切り取ったら、爪にEssenceクリアポリッシュを糊代わりに塗ってからdecalを貼り付け。いつもはこの手順はないのですが、今回はザリザリポリッシュを色付けに使ったので、これをしないと爪に貼りつきません。

あまり見えていない親指にはPeach、人差し指にはPistachio、それから小指にはMintをそれぞれ２度塗り。仕上げはSeche Vite。使用したポリッシュはこちら。

今回はザリザリをdecalの色付けに使うという初の試みをしてみました。分厚くなって扱いにくくなるかな？と思いきやそうでもなかったです。１つ失敗したのがベースに黄色を使ったこと。decalの色と馴染んでしまってコントラストがなくなってしまいました。

今回、Secheを１度塗りして仕上げたのですが、ザリザリ感を完全になくすには２度塗り以上必須ですね。Chiroさんもこちらの記事で「粒が粗くてトップコートで埋めるのが大変だった」とおっしゃっています。今回は１度塗りにして中途半端なザリザリ感を楽しんでみました(ﾟ∀ﾟ) いや、Secheでどう反応するか（縮むのか）が分からなかったので１度塗りっていうのもありますが。１日経過して縮みはまったくありません。

KIK Cupcake、思っていた通りの可愛い仕上がりになりました。実はMoYouのこのTropicalプレート、８月に購入したのに今回初使用でした。Cupcakeと組み合わせて使えて満足です＼(^o^)／

I'm sooo late to the party but I was planning to join the 31 Day Challenge hosted by Chalkboard Nails starting on the first of September, but I was so burned out after MoYou contest and tutorial making, that I decided to join only the themes that fit my nail changing schedule.

This mani is for Day 6, Violet. I used the products that were sent by Harunouta (Japanese site of Born Pretty Store) for review. My 10% off code for both Born Pretty Store and Harunouta is 'CPM10'.

I started off with Ciate Sugar Plum, then using brush stroke (or distressed) technique, I lightly dabbed Ciate Hopscotch, MoYou London Meadow Green, Impala Festa! and Ciate Talent Scout. Then I placed 2 sets of curved french guide tips and painted the part between the 2 guide tips in black. I peeled the guides off and placed the purple flower shaped rhinestone and silver holo round glitters, using the rhinestone picker. Those rhinestone, round glitters, and rhinestone picker are all from Harunouta/Born Pretty Store. I have a quick Instagram tutorial at the end of this post.

This is my 2nd time creating distressed look and I love it! It's easy, looks neat and you can literally use any colour to create the look. I'm also impressed with the rhinestone picker BPS sent me. I can't wait to use other shaped rhinestones as well.

今月からネイルコミュニティで開催されている「31日ネイルアートチャレンジ」をご存知の方でしょうか？Chalkboard Nailsのサラさんが主催していて、これがいろんな有名ブロガーさんが参加する大規模なネイルチャレンジで私もお祭り気分で参加したい！と思っていたのですが・・。MoYouのコンテストとそれに続く「チュートリアル作って」要請で完全に精気を持っていかれました。ようやく気力を取り戻したのでできるものだけ参加していきます。

今日のネイルは前回の記事で紹介した「春の歌」から送られてきた製品を使っています。チャレンジのテーマはDay 6 Violet。バイオレット＝紫ってことで、紫系で作ってみました。出来上がりはこちら。

Finished product with Seche Vite

以前やったDistressedネイルをまたここでやってみました。ベースはCiate Sugar Plum。その上にCiate Hopscotch、MoYou London Meadow Green、Impala Festa!、Ciate Talent Scoutを軽くのせていきます。その後、半円型のフレンチガイドを２つ置いてその間を黒で塗る。ガイドを剥がして紫の花型のストーンとシルバーの丸ホロを追加。ストーンと丸ホロを付けるときにラインストーンピッカーを使っています。インスタ動画をまた作ったので興味がある方はどうぞ。使用ポリッシュはこちら。

人差し指と小指のベースはSinful Colors Mauve。黒のストーンと丸ホロは同じく「春の歌」より。

What do you think of the design?

そんな感じでチャレンジネイルVioletでした。丸ホロ初めて使いましたが、厚みが出ないのがいいですね(ﾟ∀ﾟ) 色んな色があるのでこれから活躍しそうです。前回の記事の繰り返しになりますが、「春の歌」で購入をご検討の方は「CPM10」のコードで１０％オフになります。
