Japanese Autumn Nail Art with YouTube Tutorial
November is a maple season in Japan and I wanted to create something that depicts its beautiful scenery. I have been struggling to come up with nail designs just with stamping, so I thought I might try some freehand for a change.For this mani, I started off with Sinful Colors Cinderella, and using white polish and nail art liner, drew mountain shape across three nails. I painted mountain body with A-England Dancing with Nureyev and added some lines near mountain top with white and dark blue to represent snow. When the base is done, I stamped a maple tree image from Chez Delaney Asiatique 001 plate using Mundo de Uñas Reddish, Orange & Yellow for all nails. I scraped twice so that colours blended a bit, but not too much. For ring finger, I also added tower image from MoYou London Suki 02 plate and finished off with Glisten & Glow HK Girl top coat. I wasn't sure what to feel about this mani at first, but I got sweet comments on Instagram complimenting about my freehand, which made me feel so good! I used Glisten & Glow HK Girl top coat for the first time, and I'm quite happy that it doesn't shrink my Sinful Color like Seche Vite does. I don't think it gives shine as good as Seche Vite though. As long as it doesn't smear the stamped designs and doesn't cause shrinkage, this will be my go-to top coat.
11月も半ば。日本はだいぶ寒くなってきているようですが、こちらは今日38度に達しました。夏全開のネイルをしたいところですが、11月と言えばやはり紅葉の季節。ちょうどまだ使ったことのないプレートに紅葉柄があったので今回使ってみることにしました。出来上がりはこちら。

ベースはSinful Colors Cinderella。白のポリッシュとライナーブラシを使って中指とその両端の３つの指にまたがるように富士山を描きます。フラットブラシを使って山のボディー部分をA-England Dancing with Nureyevで塗り、山頂付近に白と濃い青で雪を描き足す。 これでベースが完了。その上にChez Delaney Asiatique 001の紅葉柄をMundo de UñasのReddish、Orange、Yellowでスタンプ。スタンプする際、この３色が多少混ざるように（でも混ざりすぎないように）２回スクレイプしています。薬指は紅葉柄の上にMoYou London Suki 02から三重塔をスタンプ。仕上げはGlisten & Glow HK Girlトップコート。使用ポリッシュはこちら。

このネイル、また一部手描きに挑戦してみたのですが、出来上がりを見て「富士山と紅葉に見えるかなぁ。。。」としばらく悩んでいました。旦那殿に見せて「何のネイルに見える？」と聞いたら「フジサーン！」と叫んだのでやったぁ！とは思いつつ、皆さんからどういう反応をいただくか怖かったです。恐る恐るインスタにアップしたところ、とても良い反応をいただけて感激(T_T)。ちなみにインスタにはお手本にした写真をくっつけてアップしました。
ちなみにこの手に持っているのが富士山のボディ―部分に塗ったA-England Dancing with Nureyev。主役級のポリッシュなのにこんなチョイ役に使われるとはきっとご本人(？)も思っていなかったでしょう。でもこの柔らかい淡い青が富士山を表現するのにちょうどよかったです。

紅葉には３色使いましたが、完全に混ざりきってないところがちょっとリアルでいいかなと個人的に思います。ネイルの上半分がやや寂しいのと三重塔がちょっと中華風なのが残念ですが、いろんな方にお褒めいただけたので素直に喜んでいます。
最後に、今回初めてGlisten & Glow HK Girlトップコートを使用しました。第一印象としては、非常にサラッとした液質で厚みも艶もSeche Viteには及ばないかなという感じ。どちらかというと普段使っているRevlonのColor Stayトップコートと塗り心地が似ている印象。そしてSecheのような縮む現象はありません。速乾かどうかはあまり重視していないので計測していません。
肝心のスタンプとの相性については、今回Mundo de Uñasを使用したので引きずりはありませんでした。他のスタンピングポリッシュを使って引きずるかどうかで真価が問われると思いますが、これはまたの機会に確認してみます。ちなみにこのスタンプ引きずり問題については「あブログ」のuLさんがこちらのポストでGlisten & Glow HK GirlとSeche Viteを比較していらっしゃいます。写真を拝見する限りHK Girlもあまり期待できないかも・・と思ってしまいましたが、もしかすると私の普段使っているスタンピングポリッシュでは違う結果になるかも？と淡い期待は捨てていません（笑。
