31DC2014 - Colour: Tri-Colour Stamping Mani with Yotube Tutorial

This is another of those manis that I created about a month ago and didn't have the chance to post. I actually created this mani when MoYou announced about the Rainbow contest. The details were not out yet then, but I had an idea that this contest would be a colour-inspired contest seeing that it's called a 'rainbow' contest that would last for 7 days.

After the contest details were announced though, I realised this mani would be no good because I used too much of the different colours other than the theme colour. So I redid a red mani which you can see on this post. I then decided to post this mani for Day 1 of 31DC2014 challenge - Red, but MoYou added extra theme on the same day, and I had to work on that! So, this mani completely lost its opportunity to be posted until I saw the 'Inspired by Colour' prompt for this challenge. So here it is finally! Inspired by the colour red. 

I like combining red with black & gold, because this colour combo is traditional Japanese colours. I started off with white base then using these three colours, stamped a swirly pattern from MoYou London Pro 14 XL on a stamper. Once it's dry, I painted the same three colours on a different colour stamp (like gold on black, red on gold, etc). I added Essence clear polish on the stamper, let it dry completely, and peeled off to use as decal. I have a Youtube tutorial for this, so please have a look if you are interested. I did this design for middle and ring finger, and did differently for the others.

I wished the colour transition between these three areas look more smooth, but still like the result. I think this is my first time using coloured polish on stamper. Not sure why I didn't try this earlier!

31DC2014チャレンジも終盤に差し掛かってきました。今日のお題はDay 21「色からインスパイヤされたネイル」です。実はこのネイルを作成したのはもう１か月も前になります。MoYou LondonがRainbowコンテストを開催するとアナウンスがあったときに、詳細が発表される前に内容を事前に予測して作成したものです。「7日続くRainbowコンテスト」だから色がテーマのコンテストだなと目星を付けて、最初のテーマになるであろう赤ネイルを作成したのです。詳細が発表され、果たして予想は的中したのですが、誤算が１つ。赤以外の色を使いすぎた！ということでこれはボツにして別の赤ネイル（こちらを参照）を作成したのでした。

ではこのネイルは31DC2014チャレンジのDay 1「赤」で使おうと思っていたのですが、ちょうど同じ日にMoYouが追加のお題（こちら）を出してきたので、そちらの作成に忙しくまたこのネイルが宙ぶらりん状態に。そしてようやくちょうどいいお題が今日のお題「色」。では出来上がりはこちら。

赤というとどうしても金と黒を組み合わせたくなるカシスです(ﾟ∀ﾟ) 中指と薬指は白ベースからスタート。赤・金・黒の３色のMundoを使用してMoYou London Pro 14 XLのクルクル柄をスタンプ。スタンパー上で乾かしてから同じ３色の色（通常のポリッシュ）を使用してスタンパー上の異なる色の上に塗っていく（赤の上に黒、金の上に赤など）。それが乾いたらEssenceクリアポリッシュを塗ってよく乾かす（１時間ぐらい）。完全に乾いたら剥がして爪に乗せる。説明が非常に雑で申し訳ないのですが、またYoutubeの動画を作ったので詳細はそちらをどうぞ。人差し指と小指はデザインが違うので、そちらの工程も入っています。

I wish the separating lines came out more straight. Need more practice!

もうちょっと色が変わるところの線が真っ直ぐできればいうことなかったですね。今回は動画の中で失敗例も載せています。というか実際に失敗したので「こうやっちゃダメですよ～」的なことを実演できてよかったですｗ decalはちゃんと乾かさないとだめです。これはコンテスト用に作ったネイルだったので急いでいたのが原因です。急いでいてもdecalはちゃんと乾かさないとだめです。大事なことなので２度言いました（笑。
